1. Select the Mixer Type Based on Process Conditions and Mixing Objectives

According to the process conditions, mixing purposes, and requirements, choose the appropriate mixer type. The selection should fully account for the dynamic characteristics of the mixer, the flow state during mixing, and the causal relationships between various mixing objectives.

2. Determine Motor Power, Stirring Speed, and Agitator Diameter

Based on the determined type of agitator, the flow state during mixing, as well as mixing time, settling speed, and dispersion control requirements, determine the motor power, stirring speed, and agitator diameter through experimental means and computer simulation design.

3. Select the Reducer Model

According to the high-speed mixer’s motor power, stirring speed, and process conditions, select the appropriate reducer model from the reducer selection table. When selecting the reducer based on actual working torque, ensure that the actual working torque is less than the reducer’s allowable torque rating.

4. Select Frame and Coupling

Select the frame and coupling of the same type and specification according to the reducer’s output shaft configuration and the support arrangement of the mixing shaft system.

5. Select the Shaft Seal Type

Select the appropriate shaft seal type based on the mixing head size, installation space, working pressure, and working temperature.

6. Design and Check the Mixing Shaft

Based on the installation form and structural requirements, design and select the structural type of the mixing shaft, and verify its strength and rigidity.

If designed as a rigid shaft, the condition n/nk ≤ 0.7 must be satisfied under strength requirements.

If designed as a flexible shaft, the condition n/nk ≥ 1.3 must be satisfied under strength requirements.

7. Select Bottom Cover, Flange Base, or Flange

According to the nominal size of the high-speed mixer frame, the shaft type, and the pressure level of the mixing shaft, select the appropriate bottom cover, flange base, or flange for installation.

8. Determine Whether to Configure Auxiliary Support

Based on the support and vibration conditions of the high-speed mixer, determine whether auxiliary support is required.
