Nonwoven Material Shredder Device
Nonwoven fabric is commonly found in our daily lives as well as in many industrial sectors. It can be used to make
clothing linings, shopping bags, filter layers for medical products, agricultural heat conservation and protection
products, and more.
In China, most nonwoven textiles use polypropylene (PP) as their main raw material. Since nonwoven textiles are a
type of plastic product, we can reuse scrap nonwoven materials and convert them back into raw PP material.
In nonwoven product plants, a substantial amount of nonwoven surplus and offcut material is generated daily. Before
recycling such nonwoven waste, it is necessary to use a nonwoven textile shredder along with a granulator. This
device can cut materials into very tiny pieces so that subsequent recycling processes, such as melting and
reforming, can be accomplished.
How to Choose an Appropriate Nonwoven Fabric Shredder?
As we know, there are single shaft shredders, double shaft shredders, and even four shaft shredders. Considering that
nonwoven material can easily tangle on cylindrical objects during rotation, we do not recommend a double shaft
shredder or a four shaft shredder for nonwoven textile, because their cutting shafts will easily become tangled and
stuck.
A single shaft shredder is a better choice, as it has many cutting bits mounted on a large shaft, and material will
not easily tangle on the cutting bits. Additionally, a single shaft shredder has a mesh screen that can control the
output particle size.
A single shaft nonwoven textile shredder can handle large pieces of nonwoven fabric as well as fairly small pieces.
The screen mesh size of a nonwoven material shredder cannot be too small; otherwise, the fluffy and light nonwoven
fragments cannot easily exit from the screen.
Some nonwoven fabric shredder manufacturers make a Z-shaped screen mesh to allow nonwoven particles to fall off
easily. However, you must ensure the Z-shaped screen is reinforced so as to have a long lifetime.
How to Pick a Correct Supplier for a Nonwoven Material Shredder?
There are quite a lot of shredder suppliers, but not all of them specialize in producing nonwoven material shredders.
Therefore, it is important to ensure they have extensive experience in producing shredders for processing nonwoven
material, so that the detailed design of the device perfectly fits the characteristics of nonwoven textile.
Second, you need to choose a reliable supplier. Third, you must ensure the vendor has a dependable after-sales team
to follow up on the equipment they sell, so that you receive prompt assistance when needed.
