How to Maintain Waste Plastic Crusher Granulator Machine

A plastic crusher granulator is mainly used to crush plastics and various rubber products – that’s why it’s also just called a plastic crusher. How does it work? The motor drives the moving blades on the blade disc at high speed. The material gets crushed between the moving and fixed blades. Small particles fall through the screen holes into the collection box, while larger pieces are further cut and crushed.

Plastic Crusher Granulator?

A plastic crusher granulator is mainly used for crushing plastic and various plastic and rubber products. It is also known as a plastic crusher.

Its working principle is that the motor drives the moving blades on the knife disc to rotate at high speed. During this process, the material to be crushed is broken. The moving blades and fixed blades work together.

After the material is broken, small particles fall into the box through the holes of the screen, while larger particles that have not been fully crushed are further cut and crushed.

Understanding the Workflow

From the working principle of the plastic crusher, we can see its workflow. Such high-speed operation and cutting/crushing action require certain maintenance measures to extend service life and ensure work efficiency.

Maintenance Tips for Claw Knife Type Plastic Crusher Granulator Machine

1. Ventilation
The plastic crusher should be placed in a well-ventilated area to facilitate motor heat dissipation.

2. Bearing Lubrication
Bearings need to be lubricated regularly to ensure proper lubrication between bearings and avoid excessive friction affecting performance.

3. Tool Screws
The tool screws should be checked regularly. For a new plastic crusher, after one hour of operation, tighten the moving knife and fixed knife screws to ensure secure fixation between the tool holder and the blades.

4. Tool Sharpness
The tools need to be checked regularly to ensure cutting edge sharpness and avoid damage to other parts due to insufficient sharpness.

5. Blade Gap Adjustment
If the tools need to be replaced, pay attention to the gap between the moving knife and the fixed knife. For a 20HP crusher, a gap of 0.8 mm is recommended; for other models, 0.5 mm is recommended. If the recycled material is thin, the gap can be adjusted appropriately.

6. Belt Tension
The belt needs to be checked regularly to avoid loosening.
