What Is Fiber Reinforced Hose?

The fiber reinforced hose is named after its inner fiber thread. It is also called a reticulated tube or braided tube

polyurethane (PU).

Classification

Fiber reinforced hose is divided into two types: fiber reinforced polyurethane hose and fiber reinforced nylon hose.

Fiber Reinforced Polyurethane Hose (XPU)

Features: Smooth appearance, small bending radius.

Performance: High strength, high modulus, high elasticity, tear resistance, solvent resistance, oil
resistance, weather resistance, and combined rubber and plastic properties.

Its outer diameter, bending radius, and weight are all 1/2 to 1/3 of those of an inner diameter rubber tube for the
same purpose, making it very convenient for process design and manual installation.

Uses: High-pressure and low-pressure hoses are mainly used for high-pressure hoses, brake hoses on
machine tools, automobiles, engineering machinery, motorcycles, and pneumatic instrument lines in automatic control
systems of petroleum, chemical, pharmaceutical, smelting, and other industries.

The Separation System Structure

The recycling process for PVC/rubber/PU fiber-reinforced hoses is as follows:

The hoses are cut into 3–4 mm particles by a crusher and then transported by pneumatic conveying to a vibrating
screen for air separation.

The air cushion at the bottom of the screen produces a vibration air flotation effect, which utilizes the difference
in material density to achieve automatic stratification. Heavy PVC, rubber, and PU particles settle in the lower
layer, while light fibers float up.

The sieve top vacuum suction tube draws the fibers to the aggregate device for separation. The lower mixed particles
are ground into powder by a dedicated crusher and blended with new materials in proportion for granulation.
