How Does an Agglomerator Work?

The plastic agglomerator is powered by a three-phase asynchronous motor and driven by V-belts. This drives the dynamic knife on the fastened dynamic knife plate, creating a rotating shear action with the fixed knife attached to the pot body.

The thermoplastic film placed into the pot body is repeatedly broken. At the same time, due to the high-speed rotation of the rotating knife disc, the broken plastic pieces form a vortex under centrifugal force.

The material becomes slightly plasticized by the frictional heat generated between the material and the pot wall. It is then cooled by the addition of water, causing the material to cool and agglomerate.

The plastic agglomerator is primarily used to pelletize low-bulk-density film fragments and also has a dense drying effect. The resulting particles can be easily transported after agglomeration.
