
What Is a PVC Pulverizer?
A PVC pulverizer belongs to the turbo type plastic pulverizer series. It has the characteristics of high output and
low energy consumption and is widely used in the rubber and plastic industry.
The PVC mill is an ideal equipment for processing and grinding thermoplastic plastics. It can grind polyvinyl
chloride (PVC), PVC pipes, PVC profiles, PVC sheets, PVC boards, PVC plastic flooring, polyethylene (PE),
polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), ABS, and other materials.
Role of Pulverizers in Plastic Reprocessing
In plastic reprocessing, after the types of plastic are separated, mechanical processing is used to run the plastic
through a pulverizer. A pulverizer crushes plastic into tiny shreds or granules.
A plastic pulverizer is the specific equipment for recycling disused materials in production and grinding
heat-sensitive plastics such as PVC.
The pulverizer includes high-output units that can be equipped with automatic temperature control. The material to be
pulverized is fed centrally between a fixed disc and a high-speed rotating pulverizer disc. A centrifugal effect
carries the material through the processing zone before it is discharged pneumatically from the machine.
Working Principle
In a PVC pulverizer, the cutter head is driven by a spindle equipped with precision bearings. Under the drive of the
cutter head, the moving knife rotates at high speed and moves tangentially to the fixed knife, causing incoming
material to collide and be ground into powder.
Through a combination of air and water cooling, the crushing temperature of the material is effectively controlled to
ensure that the quality of the crushed material does not change.
The automatic feeding, automatic discharging, and automatic sorting system are configured to greatly reduce labor
intensity. The entire milling process is fully enclosed with no dust leakage.
When changing materials or cleaning, only the door cover needs to be opened for maintenance. The PVC pulverizer
starts using a star-delta mode, which reduces the motor starting current.
